Here we are at Sara's Dad, George's place. George and his wife Rosemary, both originally from the Seychelles, welcomed us into their home and put on a beautiful meal. As dessert we had a pavlova which doubled as birthday cake with candles to be blown out by Aiden and friend Xavier.
George grows his own tropical fruit in the backyard and he just harvested a Jack fruit, which had to be tried out (of course). With plenty of onlookers the fruit was cut to bite size and we all tucked in. Verdict ?? Very sweet flavour like a mixture of banana with mango, recommended !! and plenty of leftovers for the next dinner party.
The pips can be roasted, like you do with chestnuts. And hereby ends our epicure-section, Bon Appetit.

Jack fruit is easily available here in Malaysia. I like them too. Especially the pips - we boil them.
Cheers!
